Purpose:
Provide an excellent way for community members to serve and gain valuable skills working with Seniors and Adults with disabilities.
Goal:
Volunteer work helps to increase life experiences and build a repertoire of skills.
Interested volunteers receive an orientation with a staff member and executive director about the non-profit sector and explore where their skills can be utilized.
- An in-depth interview is conducted with each potential volunteer.
- Potential volunteer skills and/or area of interest is matched to the needs of the programs.
- Both the volunteer and our staff will have an opportunity to interview each other. If both parties are satisfied, the next step will be passing a criminal background check through Castlebranch.
- At this point, when all paperwork is completed with a favorable background, volunteer training classes will begin for 4-weeks once a week.
